Tasked with bringing together three adidas Women’s Basketball athletes in collaboration with streetwear brand Ryoko Rain, my team and I created a campaign all about representation and celebrating every stage of greatness. Each athlete narrated a poetic “letter” to another across three spots, titled “I SEE YOU.”
The storytelling weaved together eras, honoring legends who blazed trails, current pros lighting up the court, and future stars pushing the game to new heights.
Visually, we built a dream-like world around the athletes, that was inspired by their real roots.
Candace Parker made women’s basketball what it is, redefining what’s possible on and off the court. The champ champions the growth and visibility of women is sports. Her influence is felt not only in what she accomplished as a player, but in the future she continues to help build.
Kahleah Copper represents the current generation of the league at its most dynamic. She’s electric on the court and brings confidence, authenticity, and relentless drive to everything she does. By just doing her, she helps other athletes see themselves reflected in the game today.
Oliviyah Edwards is what’s next for women’s basketball. She brings power and versatility to the court, showing what’s possible for the hoopers coming up. Stars always stand out and Oliviyah is quickly becoming the next and the brightest.
From social media, to broadcast, to IRL at WNBA All-Star Weekend, this campaign lives and breathes across platforms, marking the start of a new era for adidas Women's Basketball, meeting fans wherever they are with greater visibility.
